Thank you to Photofusion for selecting this image - ‘‘The Last Photograph’’ of my mother - for the Salon/25 exhibition.
It meant a great deal to get that selection email. It’s a simple-looking photograph, but for me there is a world of emotion in it.

My mother always encouraged me to put my photography out into the world. I like to think she’d have been very pleased about this.
